Complex challenges call for new knowledge that can only be created through new approaches to research and innovation. At GreenLab, we work with mission-driven research that turns big challenges – or so-called wicked problems – into approachable problems that can be solved by connecting the right people. Often it means connecting researchers with business and other stakeholders.
Our focus and overall mission
Our focus is on problems connected to the green transition and the unnecessary waste of energy and resources in industrial processes. The overall mission of GreenLab’s research platform is to contribute to the development of an integrated energy system that creates a power shift at the systemic level. We want energy to be produced, used, and shared in new ways that help move industry’s green transition forward and we want to find solutions that benefit all of society.
We turn theory into practice and develop new markets
Our international research platform focuses on three elements:
We work primarily at the higher levels of the TRL scale, and our active research projects are all in the technology demonstration or system development phase. We have a strong focus on the commercialisation of solutions, and we continuously look for new revenue streams and market opportunities to promote circular economy and integrated energy systems.
